How Do You Like It? With or Without?
TweetEarlier last week, I tripped on a discussion on Twitter about how designers are writing their product descriptions. Some designers, myself included, have taken to listing all of the elements in the kit, such as I have done with THIS KIT HERE. Come to find out, many of the customers involved in the discussion indicated that they didn’t really prefer this listing, and in some cases didn’t even read it. This boggled my mind, especially since I was sure that each of you was pouring over the detailed listing of elements I had been writing.
So, I am looking to you to further this conversation. When you are purchasing a product, do you prefer there to be a list of the elements in the kit, or would you rather see something like “over 50 elements.” I put together this quick poll so we could vote on it.
Even if you vote, I would love to further the conversation in the comments below. Tell me, if you voted for the listing, why did you vote for it? If you don’t really prefer the listing, why not? Are you even reading it? I look forward to hearing what you all think!
